I'm allmost there buying dropfiles/droppics combo, but there remain a few questions about DROPFILES:

- Can I assign one document to multiple categories?
- Can I assign one document to one or several users?
- I assume I can set permission inheritance, so I can choose to set permission for each document seperately or for component, category or document level at once? So it will be inherited...
- Does dropfiles work with email notification for admins? when somebody edits a document...
- Does it make sef/seo compatible links with joomla sef enabled?
- Does dropfiles generate a log: Allowing to see who downloaded documents, user's IP, user's web browser, download date et cetera
- Does dropfiles have a search plugin to search for documents?
- Does, or will it have RSS integration in the future?

Hi,

Here's my replies.

1.Nope a document is single categorized

ACL in dropfiles can be done using article (or module) ACL because the dropfiles categories and files will be added in your editor. And also you have an an access level setting in each category.
2. Yes and no depends what you mean, you can restrict access to the document to a Joomla access level
3. You have to set permission to each category but if the parent category is set a registered access level for example user won't have access to sub category because they can't navigate through it.

4. There's no notification system yet but it's planned for a future release

5. Yes it works with SEF feature enabled

6. We don't have a log neither complete stats just a click count with an option to reset it

7. Dropfiles uses the davanced Joomla search tool yet, in the next release it will have a dedicated search plugin

8. We haven't planned any RSS feature
