Hi there:
I have a project where I need to display docs, google docs and pdfs In the site in two ways

I have a documents area (like a library), with public access. Files must be sercheable by content, title and author.

Also, I have a news and blog area, where I need to display the same document, but embeded inside the article. (not listed or linked)

Is it possible to do this with Dropfiles

You can insert a category or single files in your articles. We have the search engine feature, you can show it using module or menu item.
If you want to search the content of the document on your site, you should enable Plain text search feature.

Also, I have a news and blog area, where I need to display the same document, but embeded inside the article. (not listed or linked)

If you want to embed file category to another blog, you can use HTML iframe tag.
