Attaching files to joomla articles and displaying files on Article Blog menu items

Hello, I would like to know if I can do the following with DropFiles.

I want to allow administrators to attach one or multiple files when posting Joomla Content Articles. I do not want them to have to create or pick DropFiles categories. It should just be an option to attach the files to the article and that's it. Is this possible or are categories necessary?

Also, will the attached files display even on Article Blog views or just the Article entry view itself? I need it to display the attached files with the articles on the blog view, so people can see at a glance on our pages the last 20 articles with their attached files.
