I’m currently looking at WP AI Assistant for use on a website and wanted to check on its accessibility before moving forward.

Could you please clarify the following:


  • Is the chatbot interface fully usable with screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver)?
  • Can all chatbot interactions be completed using keyboard navigation only (e.g., tab, enter, escape)?
    Does the chatbot follow WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 accessibility guidelines?

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

WP AI Assistant doesn't currently meet full accessibility standards for screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance.
We also want to be transparent that implementing and maintaining these features to a reliable standard would be a significant technical undertaking,
so we don't have a confirmed timeline for this at this time.

If accessibility compliance is a requirement for your project, we'd recommend keeping this in mind as you evaluate your options.
