Custom fields and search integration

I would like to integrate an org chart into Wordpress for my company's intranet. Key requirements include that the org chart be searchable and have the ability to add custom fields. Could these features be added in the future? We are aiming to launch before April 2019. The idea is to have an employee directory with searchable org chart functionality.
