It would be great to have the option to change the destination folder when uploading files to the Media Gallery when using the:
Upload New Media screen: https://domain.com/wp-admin/media-new.php
Select or Upload Media modal window from the page editor.
A bonus option would be a WP Media Folder setting to require the selection of a folder before showing the drag and drop or upload files button option. This would help keep the root folder better organized.
Some folder plugins have this option of choosing the folder/category as part of the upload process like FileBird (https://wordpress.org/plugins/filebird/). See attached for example.
