We're excited to see a permission settings feature available in the latest version of WPMF! We have two suggestions to improve the functionality:

1) Allow the same permission settings for the "root" of the Media Library as are available for folders. The business case we're trying to solve is users accidentally uploading files into the root of the library instead of a folder. This makes for a mess of unorganized files over time.

2) This one might be more complex to design, but the concept of inheritance for folders. Add an option to the folder permissions settings where they can apply to all subfolders. Then provide an option to "break inheritance" on specific folders. This will allow admins to manage folder permissions much more efficiently than having to set permissions on every folder when there's a deep hierarchy of folders.

Thanks for considering these suggestions!

Hi,

Thanks for adding your feature request here.

These features are not implemented yet, but I'll add it to our feature request list and keep that in mind for a future release.

Thanks a lot!
Best Regards,
