Hi,

Due to the many problems I encountered with this plugin, I had to upload again and again all my media files. Now there are in a few uploads sub-folders, each of these contains thousands of images. My WP site is very slow probably because of this situation.

Is it a way to move already uploaded files in new uploads sub-folders (I will create new sub-folders like uploads/2000/01, uploads/2000/02…)?

Any suggestion is welcome!
Michel.

As my experience, there is no way to move as you said because the physical link of images are fix. It will be broken if you move the images.

Hi,

Wordpress stores in database a lot of informations about images and as said in the previous post, this could break the images links to change it.

But having a lot of images in your folders do not change anything to the speed of your website.
You can have gigabits of actual images it will not use any CPU or RAM.

If you have other questions about the extension as a premium use you can use our ticket system, a developer will be able to answer you questions.

Best regards

Hi,

Ok, thanks for this information 'having a lot of images in your folders do not change anything to the speed of your website".

The only problem I see with large number of files in a folder is that many FTP clients stop downloading the file names when there are so many files. An dit is really annoying.

Best regards,
Michel.
