Hello, your plugin is great at many aspects, but when it made for huge media libraries - its main media sorting feature "Filters" is very 3inconvenient disappointing poor...

  • it really lack of exact "Media Type" selecting - for example if I need to work with GIF's animation media files at many folders - how I can find them easily??
  • it really lack of "Size" filter with 1 side set like "3000 x ANY" or "bigger then 2000" etc;
  • it really lack of "Aspect Ratio" filter (4:3, 3:2, 16:9, etc);
  • overall it will be much more comfortable if "Size, Weight, Date" filters will be placed not at 2-level menu, but represented by dynamic always visible 4-5 range sliders at top panel!!

Will you update your too simple filters soon? ETA?

Hi,

Thanks for adding your feature request here.

I think for the 2 first points, our support team has already given the process to do that.
About the "Aspect Ratio" filter, I'll add it to our feature request list and keep that in mind for a version to come.

Thanks a lot!

No, 2 first points can not be make with your current Filter.
Filter must be fast and comfortable, but not hidden deep at menu, p.4 is also very actual too.

* fast accessible and comfortable

I suggest the next always visible filters set at "Media Library" top panel:

[Clear all filters - just icon] [Switcher for All/My files - just icons] [Media type - current dropdown list] [File (file extension) - small field for up to 4 symbols manual input (for select only jpeg, webp, gif, etc)] [Height (px) - range slider] [Width (px) - range slider] [Weight (kb) - range slider] [Date - range slider]. Range sliders - is sliders with 2 runners. Each can have tooltip with detailed explanation if you mind and all range sliders titles can be placed under the slider and values over the slider - it can be enough compact like:

[X] [∞/👤] [MediaType🠗] [File] [===Height===] [===Width===] [===Weight===] [===Date===]

Then it will be really fast and comfortable to filter all media!

Do you like it :)

BTW Height/Width/Weight can be retrieve automatically on each folder opening, so such solution will help to make filters more flexible - for example it will be easy for user to search for "all media from 0px to 3000px" or "from 2000px to max px" etc. Thus there are will be no needs for custom size/weight filter setup at all - all "Media Filtering" settings can be removed.

PS Date range slider maybe better make as dropdown calendar with possibility to choose exact date range from-to.

Yes, for your specific requirement, we will consider it in our version to come.
