Hello! I was advised by your support staff to post this idea here. It would be great to have a way for items newly added to Google Drive to be imported automatically to the WordPress Media Library. Currently, this step requires manual action.
I know that it is easy to set up files in Google Drive to be available in the WordPress Media Library and have done so. However, those files are still served from Google Drive instead of the WP Media Library itself. Unfortunately, a fair number of site users work at institutions that block Google Drive and other file sharing sites from loading. Hence, it is very important that I have the ability to serve files to users from WordPress directly. It remains very convenient to add files to Google Drive and have them sync automatically with WordPress; please consider adding a direct importing ability that is automatic and does not require manual action.
