Send emails translated into the users' language

Hi,
is there a way to automatically send translated emails to users, based on the user language settings and not depending on the language selected surfing the website?

For example, let's make that I upload a file using the italian version of my website, and the file is for an english speaking user, I would like him to get an english email, and I need to get the italian version.. Instead, now we will both get italian emails..

is there a way to make it work?
