Hi WP File Download team,
I’d like to suggest a feature to help reduce the number of emails generated by file upload notifications.
Specifically, an option to send notifications as a scheduled digest (for example, daily) instead of sending an email in real time for every single upload. The digest could be delivered via WP‑Cron or server cron and include a summary of the files uploaded during the selected period, such as file name, category, upload date/time.
Notifications should fully respect existing access permissions, so that each recipient only receives information about files belonging to categories they are allowed to view.
This approach would significantly reduce email noise, improve the overall user experience for teams and enterprise environments, and be particularly useful for intranets and document management portals.
Thank you for your time and for the great work on the plugin!
