I was just asked if this is possible - I don't believe it is.

We have files that get added to a private area of our site first. After a week or so, they get published publicly.

You have the feature where one file can exist in multiple categories... and you have the feature where you can set a publish date. What I'm hoping for is the ability, after a file has been uploaded to one category (the private one) to, at the same time, set a later publish date for it to appear in the second (public) category.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

I'm sorry, "Schedule publishing" feature is not implemented yet. You can publish files manually at the moment.

Hope it helps!

Well it kind of is:

Right now I can set the Publish on date into the future and it will appear after that date.

The problem in my scenario is that there is no option to add a second category on a given date / time.

The only workarounds are:
1. As you say, add the second category manually. This option requires remembering to come back later to do this manually. When you have a lot of files, that becomes challenging.
2. Or upload the same file once to each category at the same time. Leave the publish date for the private section (category) of the site and set the publish date into the future for the public section (category). While this option lets everything be set up at the same time, the duplication of files is not worth it.

Hence why this is under the ideas category :)
