Put "New" tag on new uploaded files

Would it be possible that every time a new file was uploaded there would be an option to mark the file as "New" and that a kind of star or circle would appear showing that the file is new for 1 week for example? This way it would be easier to identify other users that the file has been recently uploaded.

Attached is an example of more or less what I mean.
