Preview of thumbnail instead of custom icon for downloadable (pdf) presentations.

Thanks for adding your feature request here.

We are looking for a feature that shows a preview of the downloadable content instead of a (custom) thumbnail (icon).
This gives an impression of what the customer can download. And gives more body to a page for customization in the style we want.
In the attachment can you see an example of this feature how dropbox will shows this.

This feature is not implemented yet, but I'll add it to our feature request list and keep that in mind for a future release.

Currently, I even got news about this, the feature is already planned and will come in a month or so I think.

Sorry, but how is this not already part of the plugin? Having a preview thumbnail (at the very least for image files) is one of the most basic features of any file explorer I've come across.
Already bought the plugin and now I realize we seem to be stuck with the generic file type thumbnails...

@ formverliebt So ging es mir auch, und das nach Wochenlanger Arbeit Daten einzupflegen. Keine automatische Preview Generierung, keine Größenänderung, 1ooode Fehelrmeldungen über google drive bis unser Server down war. Und n Support der der Arme in die Luft. hebt und mir eine Rückerstattung anbietet - was nach dem Arbeitsaufwand wohl ein schlechter Witz war und bis heute nicht kam. Taugt nichts und ist alles andere als ein Dateimanager..... bessere Bezeichnng wäre > Linkmanager .... denn atsächlich Dateiformate handlen kann die Komponente nicht .

Hey there - also very keen on this feature (image thumbnail instead of file type icon). I am pre sales and hoping to know if/when this will come in a future release, and the expected implementation (e.g. automatic thumbnail generation (if so, for which file types) or custom upload of thumbnail per file.
