Notify all users when a file is updated

Hi,

Thanks for your feature request here.

I need to be able to notify users (by user group) of updates to files on the system. SO I have sales Managers and I have sales reps. When a document assigned to each group is updated, say a price list, then all in that group should be contacted.

We've planned to implement "Send email per category" feature in version 5.7 (we are currently in version 5.2.1).

Has this been implemented yet as the OP explained their need. I'm needing to do a similar thing but not seeing it and the current version is now 5.7.7. I would like to be able to notify users(by user role) of updates to a specific category when any file is updated in the category.
