Hi, I hope somebody can answer my curiosity here. I have been googling it like everywhere but none satisfies my puzzleness.
I use WP File Download to manage my file. But there are 2 questions aroused:
1) I have staging site and live site. When I push the staging to live, some folders with special access (only for a specific user) are mixed up. e.g folder A is for user 1 in staging site, but suddenly it's changed folder A is for user 9 in live site. I use domain and subdomain, they use 2 different user database (but I'd likely use the live site user database). What should I do?

2) I try to fix problem no.1 by not overwriting live site's database. I exclude 'wp user', 'wp user meta', and 2 more database I believe belong to WP File Download: wpfd_statistics and wpfd_tokens. But it still resulted the same after "pushing to live" done. What wp tables do this plugin use?

Kindly appreciate any helps.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

Normally, the roles will be updated when you migrate from your staging to the live site. It could be something wrong on your site.
Please drop us a ticket (Menu Support > Support ticket). Our developer in charge will take a look at that.

Thanks a lot!
Cheers.
