Files ordering (automatically) in WP File Download

When we add a new folder right inside Dropbox, it's not sorted in WP File Download. In the screenshot you can see how we have added year 2020 in a couple of subfolders, and they are not sorted.

Is it possible to have them automatically sorted? It's really strange they aren't.

Imagine that, in your filesystem (computer), you need to order the files and folders manually because the explorer doesn’t do it automatically… Or it doesn’t allow to reorder by date, size, and so on. That’s a file system. The plugin is about files and filesystem.

Yes, it could be better to have a sorting option for the folder name. But I think it's for the parent folder only.
As I see, those folders "2020" are the sub-folders, so how do users know its parent if we sort by name for all?

As a former programmer, don't understand your answer. Really will sort "all" them by name without taking into account the hierarchy? Please...

There's something called "recursively". You sort the parent folder, then enter (one by one, programmatically) the subfolders and do the same sorting.
