Feature Request

Thanks for adding your feature request here.

Please please enable GOOGLE DRIVE FOLDER SHORTCUTS feature. Since in the front end wherever a shortcut is added the spinning wheel appears. We can not keep same data in 2 folders or more & make changes to both of the each time. That's why a shortcut is added to google drive folder. However, wp file download is not reflecting it in front end. Please make this feature a priority in your list.

It would be helpful in a few cases; however, we need to check its popularity and technical issue following this first request.
Anyways, we noted that in our planning area.

Hi can you please include a feature for WP Downloads where you could export files and db for when you need to move one website content to another or to a new website. We have had numerous websites that needed revamping and where they had large amounts of downloads to transfer. This job becomes tedious and costly for the client as we have to spend hours and some cases days, to transfer files to the new website.
So the request would be for a feature that can package files and all relevant files so that it can be imported to the new website.

I'm sure this feature will mean a lot to more users as well

If we can define a large number of activation codes while accessing a folder, I can distribute the activation codes to my customers.
For example, suppose I have 200 activation codes to access a folder, I can define 200 people in total or different codes that I will reproduce later so that only the people I want can access the folder. Many people find the subscription forms boring and just want to easily access the files with their code.

If you would like more information on this topic, I would be happy to contribute. I am looking forward to the planned update. Basically I hope to be able to define multiple passwords when accessing a folder instead of a single master password so it would be great if that happens.

Currently, you can import files from your server only, but the sync feature will be implemented in version 5.0.

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.

What is the release date of version 5.0 please

We are currently in version 4.9.1. Following its urgent case, this was switched to version 5.0 that you can see in the previous response.

Though it’s hard to give a precise date on new features release for various reasons.

It mainly depends on the development roadmap we've defined for the developer and problems we may encounter during this period

Anyway, as I guess, it would be published in early next year.
