I'd like the access control feature of this plugin to be improved in several ways:
- An option to select specific users (a multi-select dropdown with a search functionality). Also, if selecting roles can be enhanced to use the same widget as well.
- Abiility to add access control in the file itself, not just in Categories level
- Add capability for deleting own files and/or categories so that users can be restricted to delete its own files/categories.

Thanks for your feedback:

- The file access restriction per user and single file is planned for the next major version

- Add capability for deleting own files and/or categories so that users can be restricted to delete its own files/categories.

- Currently you can do that by using the user role configuration

The capabilities listed in the user role configuration are the following:

Create category
Edit category
Edit own category
Delete category
Access WP file download

What I hoping that would be added is the ability to delete OWN category. Also, is it possible to have restrictions in the file level? Not just in categories.

Hi,

OK I think I got what you mean. If you just let the possibility to "Edit own category" the user should be able to delete it's own categories (not just edit files and names). That makes sense, we'll add that in the next version.

Hello,

I would like to add my suggestion about the restricted access.

It could be fantastic if we can restrict file access to single user inside a single category.

In fact, I would like to have one page with all my PDF in one category but restrition by file for my registered users.

OK you mean restric some files from a category to only registered users.
It would be a great addition indeed. I'll add that to our todo list.
