Hi,

I recently bought your plugin and would like to place a feature request if possible? I'd like to be able to assign categories and individual files to multiple users and/or groups (for example, using a groups plugin such as 'groups': https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/groups/).

The idea is that I can place the shortcode to a category on one page, and only have a specific file/subcategory show up to a list of users or a user group (see attached). This would allow a front end 'user area' where they can view a generic repository, but only see files specifically allocated to them within that repository.

The only way to do this at the moment is to copy the same file several times within a given category and assign a different user to each of the identical files. Obviously, it would make more sense to have one file and multiple user assignments.

Many Thanks,

Derek

Hi,

Thanks for adding your feature request here. We’ll keep that in mind for a future release!

Great. I was just thinking that perhaps an easier alternative might be to use the existing functionality to assign a specific user to a category, then to update the app to allow a shortcode which displays categories by logged-in user id, eg: [wpfd_usercategories]. Category tags/names or ids might also be included to allow further flexibility, e,g, [wpfd_usercategories tag="categorytag"], [wpfd_usercategories name="categoryname"], [wpfd_usercategories id="36"].

Cheers,

Derek
