It would be awesome there was an option to assign multiple files to one or more folders. Right now, when I select multiple files the option to assign the same file to different folders disappears, so I have to go one by one and because I have many many files, it's very time consuming and troublesome.
Please, think about adding this feature in future updates, I'm sure it'd appeal to a lot of other users as well!

Hi,

Thanks for adding your feature request here.

Yes, this feature would be helpful in some cases and it should be implemented in the future.
However, we need to collect a few more customers' requests to prove its popularity.
Anyways, this is noted in our planning area.

Thanks a lot!

I have the same kind of challenge: once every few months we need to upload up to a hundred pdf files with sheet music in batch. Every pdf needs to have a category (the musical instrument) and tags (the orchestra, the part (e.g. 1st violin, 2nd violin etc.) Right now we can only to add the category and tags when the file is uploaded one by one.

Having an option to assign (multiple) tags and/or categories in batch would be very useful. Something like: make a selection, press a button to apply categories and tags to all selected files.

An alternative approach: if WP File Download could read the metadata from (pdf) documents (e.g. the keywords) the metadata could be used to populate categories or tags automatically.

I agree, this would be useful. I had to add a number of documents which are available in both a public and private category, and it was time consuming.
