Hi,

I use the WP FIle Download plugin for my schools websites. I would realy like the option to open the documents (pdfs) in the web browser like how they open if they were sat in the standard Wordpress media library. This would be amazig to have the option rather than the file downloading every time you click it as in most cases, users dont ctually need to download the view, just view this.

thanks,

Chris

Hi,

Thanks for adding your feature request here.

This feature would be useful in a few cases like yours. However, we need to check its popularity and usability as well.
Anyway, we’ll keep that in mind for a future release!

Thanks a lot!
Cheers,

+1 for opening the link in as a pdf preview in new tab, rather than downloading the file immediately

Really hoping that they will do this. Be great to have a checkbox in the config that allows this. They can then download from the preview anyway. I would disregard the preview option completely, leave a download button but be able to change the text to open or whatever you like as you can then just download using the usual icons when its been opened n the browser. This would be perfect!

+1 for opening the PDF in a tab and having the option in config to just have one configurable link!
