Edit data in the frontend if a user has ACL permission

Can droptables allow users to edit table data in the frontend. I know you have an editor to edit data and styles etc in the Joomla backend, but if a user can NOT edit data in the frontend, this is useless to me. Please show us how to do so in your document if you have this feature. Thanks.
