Custom SQL for cell and table edit frontend

I would like to be able to specifiy the data in a single cell. I could then go ahead and create an exel like designed sheet and fetch single values for different cells in table. This would help with creating e.g. dashboards.

It would be really nice, if we could not only fetch values/rows from database, but actually edit them in frontend. I am currently using grid4php for this.

Yes, this is something not possible in our Droptables. We’ll keep that in mind for a future release!

Ich wollte mich einmal erkundigen, ob an diesem Feature gearbeitet wird?
Derzeit gibt es keine wirklich stabile Joomla Extension Lösung für CRUD Grids und Droptables macht doch auch mehr Sinn, wenn die direkte MySQL Anbindung auch Create, Read, Update und Delete (Add, Edit) unterstützt. Sofern hier etwas in Arbeit ist, würde ich mich über ein paar Infos freuen.

These features relate to Database and query edition will be released on verson 3.8 (currently 3.5.15).
It could be a long term plan.

Though it’s hard to give a precise date on new features release for various reasons.
It mainly depends on the development roadmap we've defined for the developer and
problems we may encounter during this period

Anyways, it could be released next year as I guess.
