1. I would like to have a hyperlink to a dropfiles element (doc,pdf, etc)
However it replaces my hyperlink text by an icon.
2. I also can't find a way to copy and paste a link using in the "insert/modify a link" button.
Is there a simple alternative or button to insert a dropfiles link into a hyperlink?

There are at least 3 requests for this so far in the forums and I also would love to see this (separate from my request to be able to override the single link template). I think it's time you added this to your roadmap

yes! I love how responsive you are to feature requests. I'm slowly replacing docman on all my client sites with Dropfiles.
