Files search indexation with joomla native search engine

With Docman, there is a special plugin provided by default with the component to allow files search with joomla native smart search component
As I know DropFiles cannot do that, except If I add files directly into the article.
But If I create categories and sub categories, does not work.
Idea is to have a small plugin to allow using joomla native search when DropFiles layout is added from menu item.

in case you decide to cancel development of this feature if not enough request, what will be the cost for me to order you this development ?
