Descriptions

Is it possible to add descriptions for each category and nested category and display these descriptions on the front end?

For example, display a description of the 'Folder' category somewhere https://www.demo-joomunited.com/dropfiles/gdd-theme-demo#108-folder

Sorry, this feature is not possible at this time. We will consider it for a future version.

That's disappointing, it seems like a pretty standard feature with most other similar document repository extensions. My clients need to display a short description about each category, otherwise dropfiles won't be any use to them unfortunately.

I don't think there would be a lot of development work involved in implementing this 'category description' feature, and I'm sure it would be welcomed by users. I have attached a mockup of what I mean.

Yes, thanks. However, I moved this ticket to Feature ideas of Dropfiles category, so I removed that ticket to avoid duplication.
As you know, there is a bunch of interesting features are wating for us. Anyway, we noted this feature in our planning list.
