Hi,

About WP Media Folder.

Is there possibly a way to add a backend filter for filtering the library view based on user's custom meta (or some other option)? Like for example I want to build a site where many users should be able to add media to their folders. But I want them to see only their folders, not other ones. So I would like to hide other folders and only show the one user is supposed to see. Do you think this would be possible to implement?

Update:

I know there is a way to enable automatic folder creation for each user and only allow user to upload to that folder. But this is not exactly what I want. But based on that it probably should be possible to adjust?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

This feature is already included in our plugin, please go here for more details:

Sorry, what do you mean exactly here? Please give me more information.

I am aware of this feature, but its not really what I am looking for. Similar, but not exactly that. Let me try to explain this better.

I have 4 users, divided into two groups (so 2 users by group). I want each group to have access to specific folders. I have 4 folders, named "a", "b", "c" and "d". I want Group 1 to see and upload to folders "a" and "b", and Group 2 to "c" and "d". This I could achieve by adding a user_meta to each user with the folder name by hand - its not a problem. The question is how can I filter the visibility of those folders based on that user_meta?

I hope this example is clear. I don't need automatic folders by user id or user role.

Oh, you mean user groups to access specific folders at backend, this feature is not implemented yet.
We will consider it in the version to come.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your reply.

I know that this feature still does not exist, that's why I am asking if there is a programmable way to add this filtering? Like using some kind of native Wordpress or plugin filter to adjust the function and customize it?
