WP Meta SEO: Installation

1. Install

The PRO needs to be purchased and downloaded from JoomUnited. To install, download the zip package from your account (My account menu) and install it using the zip uploader: Plugin > Add new > Upload plugin.

Then  click on activate plugin, to see WP Meta SEO menu appear on the WordPress left menu.

From now on, please make sure to log in to your JoomUnited account before using the plugin.

2. Update the plugin

In order to update WP Meta SEO, you can use WordPress' default updater. You can also remove and install the new version from a .zip file downloaded from www.joomunited.com. In any case, you won’t lose any content because everything is stored in the database.

Be sure to always have the latest version to avoid security and stability problems.

Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins > WP Meta SEO section, click on the 'update now' link text will appear where you can click to update a new version.

Finally, you can update all the JoomUnited commercial plugins from WordPress' standard updater.

3. Dashboard

The dashboard summarizes all the SEO information of your WordPress website, also explaining how to fix any problems that it finds. You can hover your mouse on each criterion to check the help tooltip. So far, the SEO criteria checked are the following:

• Permalinks settings: URL configuration
• Ensure that all meta titles are filled
• Ensure that all meta descriptions are filled
• Duplicate meta titles
• Duplicate meta descriptions
• HTML resizing: check for images resized by CSS in you content
• Image title and alternative tags
• New or updated content from your website
• Ensure that all link titles are filled
• 404 error and redirect URL
• Image compression activation
