SQL table as data source?

Where is Droptables data saved?

Data is saved in #_droptables_tables normally.

Can I use a SQL table as the source and update it?

Link with MySql tables feature will be added in our new version 3.2 so you can use a SQL table as the source. However, it doesn't include update function, you can read data from tables only.
