This duplicate file feature could be placed in the admin section as an option; specifically, during file upload. In my case, I have a living repository of pdf documents that will grow overtime; some of the categories could exceed 1000 documents. It would be very difficult and time consuming to have to look at thousands of document titles manually to make sure that I am not uploading a duplicate document. So, having a function that compares the title being uploaded against all the titles contained in the database and then flagging the admin with a warning message indicating that "you are about to upload a duplicate filename" would be extremely helpful for those of us who have a large database files.
