Many of our clients use DropFiles a basic digital asset management system (which it works quite well for), but clients often expect common format files like JPG, PNG, PDF, etc. will show a thumbnail previews on the website without having to click 'preview' each time. This way an end user can find the asset they are looking for (especially images) quicker for download.
We are requesting that this type of feature gets added to DropFiles. Obviously, not every thumbnail would be needed but just the common types of files above (Adobe PSD, INDD, XD would be fantastic too, but not sure if that is possible due to licensing).
So for example, instead of showing the file type icon, it would show an auto-generated thumbnail here: https://www.screencast.com/t/RtL61zqCGT8
This should be an optional feature under the DropFiles global options, not required. It could use native server thumbnail generation or perhaps another way similar to preview with Google.
Thanks again for your time on this.
