Hi, For the moment I'm using Docman with files hosted on a Google account. I always have to check that my files are less than 20Mo to allow direct download because of google virus check restriction.
Most of time, that's the case. But I have some time some sound file of 30 or 35 Mo. So now I have to cut them in 2 pieces.
First question : How does DropFile handle this ?
Second question : If I have Sound or Video file, is there a way to import them from Dropfile in a article with a html5 viewer ? Considering i'm using K2, is it possible to use the media tab "Browse server or use remote media" with the dropfile url file?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here.
First question : How does DropFile handle this ?

I'm sorry, our extension cannot split the file.
If I have Sound or Video file, is there a way to import them from Dropfile in a article with a html5 viewer?

Yes, it is. Preview feature can help you see video files or listen to audio files.
Considering i'm using K2, is it possible to use the media tab "Browse server or use remote media" with the dropfile url file?

But, our extension doesn't have this feature.

Hi,

I have to add some informations, that I think have been misunderstood.

Yes you can manage big files with Dropfiles and Google drive. You can download a full 30MB image that has been stored in Google Drive from your website.
That's one of the main purpose of Google Drive.

Concerning K2, you can use Dropfiles in any K2 article, it will not be from the tab you suggest but from the Dropfiles default button.

Best regards.
