Hi,
What is the affect of this glossary component to overall seo of the site? I want to add a terms dictionary to may web site but there will be lots of one paragraph (short) joomla articles with short titles in the site. Is this a problem for search engine performance?

I understand but what do you think about lots of short articles, do they harm site seo? Do you have any experience on any website?

It depends, if your content match with this article format, for example quick news blog, it's perfect.
You have first to think about your target: do they want to read short news in your context?
