Searching with WP File Download

I too would like to know if there are "filter" AND "search" functions for WP File Download on the front-end?

Hi Michel,

Not yet! this is something we have planned and we 'll start the implementation very soon.
The features will be: search with plain text search, filter with file category and custom tags, ajax search.

I hope we can start developing that this month.

Quick question related to this topic. When using the default search function in wordpress I am able to find the document uploads but it does not link to the PDF. Instead it links to a directory of wpfd_file and links to nothing.

for instance: http://www.intranet.senspex.com/?s=Americans+With+Disabilities+Act

Is it not possible to use WP file with wordpress's standard search?

Well in fact we are working for the next version on real big search engine for doc like we did for the Joomla file manager we have.
It's search and filtering + plain text search option: http://www.demo-joomunited.com/dropfiles/file-search-and-filtering

I think in less than a month it will be out.
