I have a site that uses JomSocial, and want to customize the search form to allow searches based on fields that come from JomSocial. Some are yes/no fields, some are text entry. How would this be possible in your component?

Is there more detailed documentation once the component is purchased?
T
Hi,

You can't achieve that with MML and Jomsocial by default. You'll need to do custom work for this part.
The Jomsocial integration allows you locate and search for members and add the dating module to the search view, sorry.

And yes there's a PDF documentation available.

This may still work with the site I'm building as long as it can integrate with the member search. I'm still exploring options, but this seems like the best component yet. Thanks for the reply.

Can it search based on a specific JomSocial member type?

hi Michael Woodward
we just have implemented the advance search on the basis of member age and whether its male or female.
You can easisly add mysql queries in our model if you have good knowledge of Joomla.

It would really help if I could see an example of this component working with JomSocial.

Hi, where can I set which field of JomSocial location or post/zip code the locations search from? I'm using JomSocial 4 with this and it works, but I want to set the location fields to be using both location and post/zip code. Unless it does this automatically?

By default which JomSocial fields does the my maps look through to find locations?
