Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

1. will we have the same problem with your one-drive add-on?

No, once you shared your media files, all your customers can view the images following your settings. For more information:

2. if my 1drive images change every 15min do i have to reimport them to wordpress every 15min

No, you can set the period syncing in settings, please go here for more details:

So i read those links you sent and it says if i mark content for public viewing the content will be delivered from onedrive and not the server which means my clients firewalls will see onedrive links in the content and block it.

Am i reading this wrong?

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.

Yes, that's right. Files are acutally stored on Cloud server where our plugin will get data.
So your client's firewall settings should not block the OneDrive links.

Cheers,
D
Hi,

Just to clarify the previous answer.

Using public link implied to have access to the cloud servers with no firewall limitation.

In your case, if your customers have a firewall and it blocks access to cloud adresses and shared files you must use the private link.
It will hide the cloud link and will work through a firewall.

But this method is slower and need more server resources.
When a files is accessed, our plugin will download the file content from the cloud server and return it back to your browser.
Contrary to the public option, where the browser directly get the file from the cloud server.

Best regards

Thank you. So the private links - do i need to specifically enable each client to see the private links, or is it just a category of link that determines if the content is served locally or from the cloud?
D
This is a global parameter per cloud type.
