Hello,

Looking for a solution for an issue I'm having and came across this plugin and thinking it might work.

I'm working on a real estate site that has a couple hundred thousand photos that need to be uploaded for the first initial sync and then the site will only sync new listings and changes. My plan was to upload all of the images via FTP to an AWS S3 bucket attached to the Wordpress instance. I've moved the sites media folder to S3 but if I upload the images via FTP they are in the media folder but do not reflect in the media library. Would this plugin allow those photos to be recognized in the media library?

Furthermore, I need the URL's for the uploaded images to stay the same as when I uploaded them to S3. So hoping if this plugin can sync them to the media library it will keep them with the same URL as is listed in S3.

Does it sound like this plugin will work for this situation?

Thank you,
Chris

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

Yes, first you should sync files from your server to Media library, then enable Copy to Amazon S3 option.
Please go here for more information:

Furthermore, I need the URL's for the uploaded images to stay the same as when I uploaded them to S3. So hoping if this plugin can sync them to the media library it will keep them with the same URL as is listed in S3.

Of course, the URL of images on Media library and S3 will be the same after uploading to S3 using our plugin.
And it will be not possible with existing images on your S3 (not upload through Media library).

Hope this helps!
Best Regards,
