Post-Thumbnails

#16256 Hi,
Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
Yes, you can sync that folder (xyz) to your Media library using our plugin. But I'm not sure which types of images in the folder,
does it include the thumbnails or just the original one?
P.S: Please write in English in the next replies.
Hope it helps!
Kind regards,

Kind regards,
These are just the originals (image/jpg). My reason for syncing is to be able to regenerate all thumbnail sizes because I am in need for smaller formats. Up to my knowledge, that is only possible from the media library, i.e. using the 'Regenerate Thumbnails' plugin.
What does syncing actually mean? Are the images transerred to the year-month-folders or are they left where they are - including untouched links to their parent posts?

#16263 Hi dherian,
Yes, you can sync that folder to Media library using our plugin, then regenerate thumbnail.
We have 2 options for you to select:
1. Using our sync feature, the thumbnails will be generated automatically in the folder {year}/{month}/{date} after synchronization:
Please go here for more details:
https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-documentation/wp-media-folder/200-wp-media-folder-configuration#toc-5-server-folder-sync
2. Using command and the thumbnails will be generated in that original folder.
We will provide you detail steps if you want to use option 2.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,

I still cannot read from your options wether the relationship between attached files and their post_parents is maintained and likewise for the newly generated thumbnails.
I assume, it is true at least for option 2. that is also my preferred solution because of keeping overview of a quite limited number of thumbnails. If they are stored somewhere in the media library amongst hundreds of other files, it might be more difficult to find them again.
How to proceed?
I think, I have now enough information to purchase the plugin, install it and then discuss the detailed steps for it (if necessary).
