Hi there,

Does the plugin reflect the folder structure server side? So if I access wp-content over FTP will the same folder structure be displayed?

Many Thanks,

Hi,

WP Media Folder is based on our own taxonomy to manage folders, it does not create real folder.
You just got an importer than browse your "real" server folders.

Hi Tristan,

Thank you for your response. I watched the video and noticed there is an option 'Import folder Structure' via FTP. If I was to work Server Side with my images creating a folder structure in wp-content/uploads/2016 would it be possible for this to by synchronised?

So every time I add images if I click import folder - would it detect the older images which already exist and import only the new images that have been added to the folder? Or will it re-import all of the images again?

If this is possible then it will be very useful to work server side and have it reflect on Wordpress.

Many Thanks,
Jawad

Hey,

It's only a one time import/sync, there's no option to make a continu sync.
We have planned for the next major version (3.4.0) to implement such sync feature.
I hope in a month.

Hi Tristan,

Thanks, good to hear this. Please get this out as soon as possible, this is something which will be very useful.

In terms of syncing - would this also mean that the 'folders' created in Wordpress Media would also similarly be reflected server side?

Many Thanks,
Jawad

Hi,

We'll try to do double way, it would be the best.
