I see that users can upload files. I have doubts about it:

If i have a category (documents) and a user upload a file to that category. That file gonna be visible to ALL the users that can access that category? The files uploaded by the user can be visible only for him and the admin?

Hi,

It depends on how you've setup the category, if the category is accessible to the public, yes that would be visible.
What you can do is create a temporary category and move the validated files, you can also activate Email notifications on new file uploads, it helps :)

It gonna be a tool for multiple users so make a temporary category would be a mess.

It is possible the user can make his own category, that can be visible for him and the admin, and upload the files there? Obvisouly, the category names must be unique.

Yes, you can restrict a user or user groups to access a category, but the category name can be duplicated, only the category ID is unique.
Users can upload files to a specific category on frontend but categories should be created at backend.

Hi,

Ok so for my problem i need to create a category for each user registered (doing by hook) and restrict access except him. I can do that programatically? I mean, there are functions for create categories and assign accesses?

Regards.

Yes, it could be customized but you should implement it yourself.
