Before purchase the WP File Download plugin, I have just one question to be sure;
I would need to upload very large files (e.g. 500 MB). Would it be really possible with your plugin, even if php file size limit is about 20-30 MB? I'm worried because of this photo from your documentation:
There is "(Server allows 24 MB)" at max upload file size. I'm not sure now, if this is the max limit or not. Because on plugin feature list I saw this: "File upload is HTML5 based, and thus it avoids the major server upload limitation and you get the option to limit the file upload by size or format". So, is there a limitation of file size upload or not?
The max upload file size limitation comes from the server only, if your hosting provider allows modification of the php.ini settings, you'll be able to change the "upload_max_filesize". See: http://php.net/upload-max-filesize Usually on good hosting provider that's possible up to 256MB or 512MB per file.
WP File Download insert, automatically, this value in the settings and you can setup additional limit but it's optional and you can't override the max.server limit. The HTML5 uploader allows to upload several files and create a queue to avoid upload delay limitation.
Note: If you're looking to upload files larger than the values mentioned above, I recommend to use Google Drive or Dropbox integration, this is the only way
I have a shared hosting where file limit size can't be set up. I think the limit is about 20-30 MB. I thout that your plugin uses some other method for upload instead of php (ftp protocol or something). And I can't use Google drive or Dropbox - files have to be on my server.
Thank you for now, I will try to find some other solution.
Just one more question; I found one plugin that has a feature that breaks each file into 2mb pieces, which allows to upload any file size. But I don't like other things about this plugin. Is it possible that you implement this feature for me and how it would cost? I really like your plugin, but I need to have an option to upload large files.
Thank you for your answer. This file manager would use some users that don't have FTP access (I can't give them FTP access) - they only need to have permision to upload files via file manager. I understand that this is not possible with your plugin by default - I'm interested if you could implement the function to break the file into smaller pieces when uploading and than combine them together when uploaded? What would be the cost for this customization?
Sorry to bothering you again, but I really want to find some solution and your plugin really suits me (expect upload file size limit by php). I found this plugin "TitleTuxedo Big File Uploads" which works with standard built-in WordPress media uploader. Is there any chance that you customize your plugin for me to support this plugin? This plugin does exactly what I need (and I tested it and it's workig): In essence the plugin changes the Plupload settings for uploads and points the AJAX url to the plugin. This processes the upload in chunks (separate smaller pieces) before handing it off to WordPress.
I understand that I would need to pay for this customizing.
We have to check that a lot because it don't seems to works in any case and the upload system is not similar. Plus there's is a lot of features that depends of the file size like the the file move/copy, the search engine, the file versioning and so on... But we'll keep that in mind for a future release and I'm sorry we don't do custom dev. on plugin.

Is it worth it using nulled extensions? Well we don't think so, it’s a real problem for many reasons:
