Compatible with Media Library?

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

i want to ask if plugin is cooperate with default Media library or not. If files which are uploaded via Media will show in WP File Download and vice versa.

For example:
We use builder Elementor and we will upload image over your plugin. In Elementor we insert Image widget to page content. I want to choose image and it will open default Media library. Will be there image which i uploaded via WP File Download or I must this image upload to site again?

Files are uploaded to WP File download stored at different place on server.
However, WP File download can work with Elementor.
Which other features do you need from WP file download?
If not, you can try our WP Media folder which is integrated with Elementor also.

thank you for response, but maybe I wrote badly what I need to know. (I apologize for my English).

We need the main features of this plugin -> categories, filtering files on frontpage, ...

I understand, that files are stored at different place on server (it isn't important for me), but I need to know how they are stored in database - if it is still post type attachment or you use independent solution. Will be show these files after disabling your plugin in wordpress media library or not?

Another example:
I will upload hundreds of files via this plugin. After some time I disable this plugin, because i don't need these features anymore. Will I lose the possibility of using these files at this point? That would mean reloading all the files for me. I think it's a mistake (if it works like that).

As your purpose, WP File download is suitable for you.

In WP File download, files will be stored at {root}\wp-content\uploads\wpfd.
So if you insert files/categories in posts/pages which still remain if you do not enable the option: Delete all files on uninstall in settings.
