Clarification of use case for WP File Download

files can be grouped into categories, each category is specific to a single customer

You can upload a bunch of files in a category which can be granted to a single user.

if necessary a customer can have access to multiple categories

It could be assigned to a single user presently, this feature will be updated in the future for multi-user.

customer can login to WordPress, file download page shows only their categories/files
only one WordPress Page is required, WP File Download then only shows categories/files the logged in WordPress user is authorised to access

Yes, after logging in, users can see files and categories on a page if they have permission.
