Two questions. I am looking for a storage solution that allows for the delivery of template files to all users (what I see your software can do) but I also need users to be able to upload private files such as employee photos to a folder that only they have access to and me as an administrator.

Can your software allow users to upload files?

Can your software allow user files to be uploaded only to folders they can see?

We run an ID printing business so here is a scenario we need to solve.

Example: We have design and excel template files we give to all customers on our site. (ID_card_template.PSD, Variable_printing_spreadsheet.xls)

"Customer 1": downloads templates, fills them out and uploads them to their own folder that "customers 2" cannot see
.

Thanks you for your insight.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
Can your software allow users to upload files?

Can your software allow user files to be uploaded only to folders they can see?

These are possible with our plugin at backend and frontend also.
You can see our documentation here for backend: https://www.joomunited.com/documentation/wp-file-download-documentation#toc-manage-personal-user-file-repository
and here for frontend: https://www.joomunited.com/documentation/wp-file-download-documentation#toc-2-9-file-upload-form

Hope it helps!

Thank you! What kind of security does the folders use, does a user have to be "logged in" utilizing the htaccess file or can users view and download files through a direct URL?

I am looking for a secure solution for private folders.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.
What kind of security does the folders use, does a user have to be "logged in" utilizing the htaccess file or can users view and download files through a direct URL?

Users have to logged in to see and download files. They can not see files if they have the URL but don't have permission.

Can users delete their own files if they have access?

Can user drag and drop files into folders that they have access to instead of using the upload form to a specific folder? Can users move files from one folder to another?

I want users to be able to drag and drop into a photo folder, a logo folder, and a folder for spreadsheets and be able to move or delete files. Is this possible?

This feature is not implemented yet, we've planned to released in Add-on version.

Thanks a lot!
