charts without pictures

Is there any reason why I cannot just use a transparent PNG to get past the required field? It could even be 1px etc.

As I checked, it can upload the transparent PNG image with 1px on our test site. And it should work on your site normally.
Please drop us a ticket (menu Support > Ticket support). Our developer in charge will take a look at that.
