1 - Can an authorized registered user (non-admin) submit their location from the frontend by simply using a locate me request to position their marker?

2 - Can this extension handle users that change location on a regular basis? Can a user login in order to update their marker position as needed?

3 - Can this extension be used display location based on a time of day or specific date in the future? Ohanah events?

4 - Can a user temporarily hide their marker without unpublishing their profile?

5 - Is it possible to remove a marker after a certain time? e.g. marker does not display after business hours

6 - Does this extension allow custom K2 fields to be displayed also?

We are not really looking for custom code work just hoping to make small adjustments in order to adapt the extension to our needs.

1 - Can an authorized registered user (non-admin) submit their location from the frontend by simply using a locate me request to position their marker?

Yes, you can set permission for users to add location but they should input address manually, not get the location automatically.
2 - Can this extension handle users that change location on a regular basis? Can a user login in order to update their marker position as needed?

Users can edit location if they have permission to access.
3 - Can this extension be used display location based on a time of day or specific date in the future? Ohanah events?

Yes, our extension is integrated with Ohanah event.
4 - Can a user temporarily hide their marker without unpublishing their profile?

I'm sorry, this feature is not implemented yet.
5 - Is it possible to remove a marker after a certain time? e.g. marker does not display after business hours

It's impossible presently.
6 - Does this extension allow custom K2 fields to be displayed also?

Yes, it can be shown.
