Hello,

I'm very interested on DROFILES for my customers but before buying it and doing a migration I have few questions :

- is back-end available in french?
- is front-end available in french?
- is it possible to change files root folder instead of having default in media/com_dropfiles/ ?
- is it possible to add a menu item to a specific folder or index list?
- about email notification, emails can be sent to a group instead of a single user when modification are done ?
- about email notification, emails can be sent to a group instead of a single user when new files added or deleted ?
- does this extension will be available for joomla 4 whe ready ?

Many thanks for your feedback
L.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us:
1-2 Yes there's a french translation, not sure it's @ 100% though and there's almost no language on frontend.
3. You cannot change the folder but only the root URL for SEO purpose
4. Yes sure
5-6. You can insert several email, yes
7. Yes sure ! once the Joomla 4 RC version is out.

Is there any way to test admin back-end on your demo or somewhere?

Hi,

Same here.
There's no admin demo but if the extension does not fit your requirements we can grant you a refund.

hello,

Sorry one question more : is drop files compatible with joomla custom search plugin?
I mean, files managed by dropfiles can be found thanks to joomla custom search?

thanks

and also, on front-end, is it possible to add restricted access to categories and files for specific groups?
ex :
group A can only see category 1 and 2
group B can only see category 3 and 4
etc...

You can search the files inserted into your articles only.
and also, on front-end, is it possible to add restricted access to categories and files for specific groups?
ex :
group A can only see category 1 and 2
group B can only see category 3 and 4
etc...

Yes, it's possible with our Dropfiles.

Hope it helps!

Ok thanks for the feedback.
About search, many component like Docman allow files search thanks to joomla default search engine.
This feature is very useful for customers because they have to use only 1 search engine.
Do you think this kind of feature could be added to your roadmap?
I intend to buy your extension bundle, but this feature could be a break point .

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

We will consider that feature for a future version to come.

Ok thank you.
I will buy your bundle next week and I will start some tests.
To be honest, this feature is needed for some customers for next july because we will make a new version of their website, and they want to use only joomla default search to search on pages, files etc...today works fine with Docman, but I will purpose your component instead of Docman.
