Hi, I'm using DropFiles on a site without much access control but I'd like to use it on a site where access is controlled via CB Subs. Members would have access to all of the files, public to some - I'm okay with using different pages for this. But more importantly, I need a way to allow presenters to upload and publish material that will then become available to only the membership.

I think I know how to do this using CB Subs and DropFiles but in your opinion, am I correct in thinking that all this is possible by 1) limiting the page access to CB Subs via membership and 2) allowing the presenters to upload via some sort of Google docs access? Or...?

Thanks in advance. This is a great component and I'd love to use it even more than I do.

Hi,

I'm familiar with CB subs but I see that it uses Joomla ACL witch a good point.

1) limiting the page access to CB Subs via membership

Yes I think so

2) allowing the presenters to upload via some sort of Google docs access?

Now in the latest version there's a frontend management files with a dedicated template. So you can setup an access level for "Presenters" t and apply it to a dedicated category and they'll be able to manage files from frontend.
In the next version will add a submission form that send file to a fixed category but it's not now, will be in the next 3 month.

Cheers,
